Motion / Interaction Designer – Digital Product

3 month rolling contract. Global Fintech.

Location: London

Contract: 3 months, with potential to extend

Working pattern: Five days per week, onsite

Day rate: Up to £450 per day via Umbrella

Sector: Financial Services / Digital Product

We are partnering with a global financial services client seeking a talented Motion / Interaction Designer to contribute to a product-focused digital project.

This role is distinct from traditional motion graphics, video, or social animation positions. The emphasis is on motion within digital products and app experiences — including UI transitions, interaction patterns, loading states, navigation, scrolling, and underlying motion principles.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong experience in product-led motion or interaction design, preferably within app-based, mobile, technology, or digital product environments.

You will be confident presenting your work and articulating how your motion and interaction decisions have been implemented in production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing product-led motion and interaction experiences
  • Creating UI elements and app-based product interactions
  • Utilising Figma for motion design and prototyping
  • Designing screen transitions and page behaviours
  • Developing loading states, spinners and micro-interactions
  • Applying mobile app interaction patterns
  • Enhancing navigation and scrolling behaviour
  • Designing drop-downs and component behaviours
  • Adhering to motion principles and interaction guidelines
  • Providing examples of tech or digital product projects
  • Delivering work that has progressed to production

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
