About Evolution Training

Evolution Training & Consultancy Services Ltd is a leading training provider delivering accredited construction, health & safety and plant training throughout the UK. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, engaging training that helps learners gain the skills and qualifications they need to progress in their careers.

We are looking to expand our team with an experienced Freelance NRSWA Trainer/Assessor to deliver Street Works training to a high standard.

The Role

As a Freelance NRSWA Trainer/Assessor, you will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) courses in line with current legislation and awarding body requirements. You will ensure learners receive an engaging learning experience while maintaining full compliance with quality assurance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver NRSWA Operative and Supervisor training programmes.
  • Assess learner competence through practical and theoretical assessments.
  • Prepare training materials and ensure all equipment is safe and fit for purpose.
  • Complete all required course paperwork accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain learner attendance, assessment and certification records.
  • Ensure all training is delivered in accordance with current legislation and awarding body standards.
  • Promote a positive learning environment that encourages learner participation.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed during training delivery.
  • Liaise with the Evolution Training team regarding course schedules, learner progress and any issues arising during delivery.
  • Keep professional knowledge and industry qualifications up to date.

Essential Requirements

  • Current NRSWA Trainer qualification.
  • Relevant assessor qualification (such as TAQA, A1, D32/D33 or equivalent).
  • Teaching qualification (PTLLS, AET, CTLLS or equivalent).
  • Extensive industry experience within street works, utilities or civil engineering.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage learners from a range of backgrounds.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel where required.

Desirable

  • Internal Quality Assurance qualification (IQA/V1).
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Experience delivering additional construction or health & safety qualifications.
  • Experience delivering training for multiple awarding organisations.
