Approximately 10.5 teaching hours per week | Fully Remote | September 2026

Elea High Online School is looking for an experienced and engaging Business Teacher to join our growing online school on a freelance basis.

This opportunity may particularly suit an experienced teacher who is already working independently, tutoring online or building a portfolio of freelance teaching work and would welcome a regular commitment of approximately 10.5 teaching hours per week.

The Role

You will teach Business to students in Years 10, 12 and 13, delivering:

  • Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Business
  • Pearson Edexcel International A Level Business

Approximately 10.5 live online teaching hours per week

  • Small class sizes
  • Lessons delivered fully online

Our teachers are expected to provide engaging, interactive lessons that develop students' subject knowledge, application, analysis and evaluation skills, while preparing them thoroughly for Pearson Edexcel examinations.

Essential Requirements

Please only apply if you meet the qualification requirements below.

Applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or a closely related Business discipline
  • A UK-recognised PGCE/PGDE with QTS, or equivalent recognised UK teacher-training qualification
  • Experience teaching Business at GCSE/IGCSE and A Level/International A Level
  • Strong knowledge of examination requirements and assessment
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Confidence using technology to deliver engaging online lessons

Applications from candidates who do not hold an appropriate degree and recognised teaching qualification will not be considered.

Highly Desirable

We would particularly welcome applications from teachers with:

  • Experience teaching Pearson Edexcel IGCSE and/or International A Level Business
  • Pearson Edexcel examining experience
  • Previous online teaching experience
  • Experience working as a freelance teacher or tutor
  • Experience teaching students in an international setting
