Freelance Online Language Teacher
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Freelance Online Language Teacher based in the United Kingdom.
Help learners around the world build practical language skills through engaging, personalized online instruction. In this freelance role, you’ll deliver 45-minute lessons to corporate learners, working with both individual students and small groups. You’ll combine language teaching with personalized coaching, adapting your approach to each learner’s needs, level, goals, and progress. Lessons may cover real-world professional topics such as presentations, negotiations, business communication, meetings, and multicultural collaboration. You’ll work fully remotely with the flexibility to set your own schedule while gaining experience teaching an international community of learners. This is an open application, with opportunities offered as language-specific teaching needs arise.
Accountabilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging 45-minute online language lessons for corporate learners.
- Provide personalized 1:1 instruction that combines language teaching with individualized coaching.
- Conduct learner needs analyses, assess language levels, and create tailored learning paths aligned with individual goals.
- Monitor learner progress during lessons, provide constructive feedback, and establish clear learning objectives.
- Deliver interactive group lessons for groups of up to five learners in English, Spanish, French, German, or Italian.
- Create an active learning environment that encourages communication, participation, and practical language use.
- Teach professional communication topics such as presentations, negotiations, business email etiquette, meeting management, and multicultural communication.
- Adapt teaching methods and lesson content to different learning styles, professional contexts, and language levels.
- Maintain a professional and supportive learning experience for students from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements:
- C2 proficiency in the language you teach.
- Valid teaching certification such as TEFL, CELTA, or a relevant university degree.
- Previous experience with online language teaching and 1:1 coaching or personalized learning support.
- B1 level or above in English if English is not your teaching language.
- B1 level or above in another language if English is your teaching language.
- Fluency in more than two languages is an advantage.
- Comfortable teaching professional communication skills, including presentations, negotiations, business writing, meeting management, and multicultural communication.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage learners effectively online.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a modern laptop or PC equipped with a working microphone and camera.
- Ability to comply with applicable local freelance and contractor regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a remote freelance environment.
