Join a dynamic premium activewear start-up as a freelance e-commerce operations specialist
Support the pre-launch, launch, and early post-launch phases of a new DTC brand. This remote, part-time role is ideal for professionals experienced in e-commerce operations, particularly within fashion, DTC, or cross-border markets. You will play a key role in establishing robust operational processes, ensuring seamless order management, and delivering an exceptional customer experience during a critical growth period.
Deliverables
- Oversee Shopify store operations, ensuring product, SKU, and inventory accuracy
- Monitor orders and payments, coordinating with 3PL and courier partners for timely fulfillment and delivery
- Manage shipping workflows, returns, exchanges, and customer issue resolution
- Test and validate launch readiness, identifying and addressing operational gaps
- Develop and maintain SOPs, trackers, and a weekly operational dashboard
- Recommend and implement cost-effective process improvements
- Support ongoing operational needs as the business scales

Requirements
- Proven experience in e-commerce operations, ideally with Shopify and 3PL integrations
- Background in fashion, DTC, or cross-border e-commerce preferred
- Strong understanding of order management, fulfillment, shipping, and returns processes
- Familiarity with UAE/GCC e-commerce landscape is an advantage
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to create clear SOPs and operational trackers
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working remotely, part-time (5–8 hours per week)
- Available for an initial three-month contract, with potential for extension
