This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Freelance Payment Tester – Apple Pay & Google Pay based in United Kingdom.
About the Role
Join a flexible, remote testing project focused on validating real-world digital payment experiences.
- You’ll help assess whether subscription payments work smoothly and reliably for users in different markets.
- The role involves completing a real payment transaction using either Apple Pay or Google Pay and reporting your experience.
- You’ll work independently from your own computer, following clear instructions provided before each testing session.
- Each session takes approximately one hour, with opportunities offered on an ad hoc basis.
- No professional software testing experience is required, making this a practical opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to digital product testing.
- Approved costs associated with the testing task will be covered, so you can participate with confidence.
Accountabilities
- Complete assigned payment-testing sessions remotely using your own computer and the required Apple Pay or Google Pay setup.
- Follow the provided testing instructions carefully and complete a subscription purchase as part of the test.
- Assess the payment journey from a real user's perspective, identifying whether the transaction process works as expected.
- Provide clear and accurate feedback on the payment experience after completing each testing session.
- Report any issues, unexpected behavior, or difficulties encountered during the payment process.
- Participate in future testing opportunities on an ad hoc basis when available and when your device and payment setup meet the project requirements.
- Ensure that testing activities are completed accurately and within the expected timeframe.

Requirements
- Currently live in the Netherlands.
- Have either a Mac computer with Safari and Apple Pay set up or a Windows PC with Google Pay set up.
- Be comfortable completing a real subscription payment as part of a testing assignment.
- Have access to a reliable computer and internet connection for remote testing.
- Be available for approximately 1 hour per testing session.
- Be able to follow written instructions carefully and provide clear, practical feedback.
- Have good attention to detail and the ability to identify issues from a user's perspective.
- Be reliable, responsive, and comfortable working independently.
- No professional software testing experience is required.
