sdgraphic is a media production studio that specializes in visual storytelling across digital and print platforms. Based in the Greater Cardiff Area, the studio collaborates with a wide range of clients on creative projects, including commercial campaigns, brand content, and events. sdgraphic focuses on high-quality imagery and efficient production processes to deliver compelling results. Team members work closely with clients and partners to bring creative concepts to life while maintaining professional standards and timelines.

Role Description

The Freelance Photographer will work on-site in the Greater Cardiff Area on a full-time basis, capturing high-quality images for a variety of media production projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The role involves:

  • Collaborating with creative team members
  • Reviewing and selecting images
  • Performing basic post-production editing to prepare files for delivery
  • Maintaining equipment
  • Managing shoot schedules
  • Communicating with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in digital photography, including composition, lighting, and camera operation.
  • Experience with photo editing and post-production using tools such as Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop.
  • Ability to plan and manage photo shoots, including location scouting and scheduling.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with clients, talent, and creative teams.
  • Reliable time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of studio and on-location lighting setups and safe equipment handling.
  • Portfolio demonstrating a range of professional photography work, ideally in media or commercial settings.
  • Comfort working on-site in various environments in the Greater Cardiff Area.
  • Relevant education or training in photography, media production, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, take direction, and adapt to changing project requirements.
