Why we are hiring

We currently serve a diverse client base, from FTSE 100 property giant Landsec to national food service group Caterfood. We've retained our largest client, Landsec, for 17 years and we now run the digital marketing for 31 of their shopping centres and retail parks including Bluewater and Gunwharf Quays. We have ambitious plans for the rest of 2026 and beyond, and our remit is growing. This means we need more Content Creators with amazing presenting skills on the team to ensure we are delivering best-in-class video and static content for our clients’ channels. It’s an exciting time to work with us!

The roles

We're seeking an experienced freelance Content Creators to present and film fun, engaging social content while out and about on location with our clients. The ability to present on camera, film content on iPhone, capture ‘influencer-style’ photography and think on your feet is essential. If you can also undertake video editing or take on copywriting tasks all the better. You will report to the Creative Social Lead at The Content Emporium and work to create content for TikTok and Instagram, and other channels as the need arises.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will be need to be comfortable with being in content and filming using a simple iPhone / tripod / mic set-up and have a proven track-record of creating engaging, well-crafted content for brand channels, your own channels or both. Some travel around the UK is to be expected with this role, as we have clients from Glasgow to Kent, Leeds to London, but most time would be spent in Leeds / Portsmouth / Essex / Somerset / Liverpool, depending on which role you are applying for. You can expect to be booked one to two days per week, more at busy times of year. Additional days would be available for those with strong video editing or copywriting skills.

Responsibilities to include (but not limited to):

  • Going on content creation visits in Portsmouth, Somerset, Essex, Leeds or Liverpool, mainly at shopping centres currently, but requirements may change
  • Presenting to camera - this may include interactions with the public, interviewing, showcasing products and doing voice-overs for TikTok / Instagram videos.
  • Shooting video content and stills on an iPhone. You may also need to use other basic equipment such as mics, tripods and props as the brief requires
  • Bringing your own ideas to the brief where appropriate, either when helping to shape it, or while out on the visit
  • Thinking on your feet to deliver exceptional channel-appropriate content for TikTok, Instagram and Facebook
  • Processing and renaming of all content and following our company processes to deliver the content to the relevant ‘next step’ in a timely manner
  • Willingness to travel within the UK (some overnight stays might be required)

The ideal candidates will have:

  • At least 1 years’ experience working on content creation professionally or an impressive history of content creation for your own channels
  • A good on-screen presence, with a confident, warm manner and an appearance that will appeal to our audiences on the different channels
  • A willingness to tailor your clothing and TOV to suit different clients' channels
  • We welcome local accents that ground you in the areas around Portsmouth, Somerset, Essex, Leeds or Liverpool
  • A good understanding of the nuances of good social content for each channel and how to use this for driving client objectives
  • Strong organisational and planning skills – part of this work will be planning and management of briefs, so you need the ability to prioritise and work on multiple things at the same time
  • A self-starting attitude – we love people who can think for themselves
  • Really strong content capture abilities with an iPhone. We need content to be well-framed, creatively appropriate for different channels, sharp, etc. All those invited for interview will be asked to provide recent social content examples
  • Good availability and a flexible attitude to working days - we will need to be able to book you sometimes with only a week's notice
  • Video editing skills. This is a ‘nice-to-have’, but if you can offer video editing as an additional skill (in Premier Pro or other software) then that would be an advantage
  • This is a physically demanding job with a lot of travel and movement around shopping centres required, so candidates must be happy to do this.
