Freelance Project Manager

Prestbury, Manchester
£300-350 per day
Outside IR35
2-3 months contract (could extend) - asap start
2-3 days onsite, WFH on other days

This integrated agency in Cheshire is looking for an experienced project manager to work on one of its key accounts, which is a retail/FMCG client. Working mainly on print campaigns rather than digital, although they also have a pure digital project management need (not tech digital), for a similar length contract.

If you are a SAM or AD that has done a lot of PM delivery within your role, then they will consider that too, but this agency split out account management from project management, so this role is focussing on the delivery and project management of campaigns.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
