Are you an experienced, adaptable agency Freelance Project Manager looking for a fast-paced, high-impact contract this September?

We are seeking a standout Freelance Project Manager to work on-site in Manchester for a full-time, one-month contract running from 2nd September to 30th September. If you excel at leading integrated creative projects, maintaining commercial rigour, and collaborating face-to-face with multidisciplinary teams, this role offers an exciting opportunity to hone your leadership skills, refine your production knowledge, and drive exceptional delivery standards across key agency accounts.

Role Overview & Career Growth

Working 5 days a week on-site in Manchester, you will act as the operational anchor for complex, high-value projects across TV, digital, online, and social platforms. Partnering closely with our Project Lead, you will manage end-to-end delivery, balance creative ambitions with commercial realities, and serve as a trusted mentor to junior team members. This contract provides a brilliant platform to showcase your problem-solving capabilities, deepen your experience with high-profile client accounts, and elevate your professional profile within a vibrant creative ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project Delivery: Lead kick-off meetings, daily stand-ups, and project status reviews, ensuring creative, production, and account management teams remain aligned, accountable, and inspired.
  • Commercial & Scope Control: Partner with the Project Lead to cost projects efficiently, define robust Statements of Work (SOWs), and proactively manage budgets, scope, and resource allocations throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Risk & Dependency Management: Identify potential project risks early, develop pragmatic mitigation plans, and comfortably navigate complex dependencies to present clear solutions to both internal teams and clients.
  • Systems & Process Advocacy: Serve as a champion for agency delivery systems, using live data to monitor project health, track status, and deliver transparent reporting tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Stakeholder & Creative Partnering: Act as the calm, present voice of reason, ensuring creative ideas remain realistic while protecting design integrity and maintaining direct, confident client communication.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
