Job Overview
We are actively seeking a motivated and results-driven individual to join our growing network in a Freelance Recruiter position in United Kingdom, working fully remotely within the country. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an English-speaking recruitment professional to operate with genuine autonomy — managing your own candidate pipeline, building client relationships, and delivering placements across the dynamic Recruitment & Staffing industry. Key Responsibilities
- Source, identify, and engage high-quality candidates across a variety of roles within the Recruitment & Staffing sector using job boards, LinkedIn, social media, and your professional network
- Conduct thorough candidate screenings and interviews to assess suitability, motivation, and cultural fit for client requirements
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with both candidates and hiring clients throughout the full recruitment lifecycle
- Manage end-to-end placement processes including job briefings, candidate submissions, interview coordination, offer management, and post-placement follow-up
- Develop and maintain an active talent pipeline of English-speaking professionals to meet ongoing and future staffing demands
- Collaborate with the wider Mercier Consultancy Group team to align on client briefs, market intelligence, and best recruitment practices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the applicant tracking system (ATS), ensuring full compliance with GDPR and data protection standards
- Proactively identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the Mercier Consultancy Group portfolio of clients and candidates

Requirements
- Native or fluent English language proficiency — both spoken and written — is essential for this role
- Valid EU passport (mandatory requirement)
- Prior experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR, or a closely related field within the Recruitment & Staffing industry is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously with a high degree of organisation, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with candidates and clients alike
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other modern sourcing tools is a distinct advantage
