Freelance B2B Telemarketer & Appointment Setter – £400 per Qualified Meeting

Remote | UK market | Freelance | Performance-based

Upwrd is a manager and leadership development business working with organisations including The Associated Press, ITN, Freeview, and others.

We're looking for an experienced B2B telemarketer/appointment setter to help us start conversations with senior People, HR, Talent, and L&D decision-makers within UK, European, and Global organisations.

This is a results-based freelance opportunity, not a salaried SDR role.

The Role

Your primary outreach channel will be telephone, supported by email and LinkedIn where appropriate.

We're not looking for someone to simply run automated sequences. We want someone who is excellent on the phone, can get the attention of senior decision-makers, have intelligent conversations, uncover relevant challenges, and turn those conversations into meetings.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll have flexibility over how you approach your outreach and manage prospects across telephone, email, and LinkedIn.

We're focused on quality, not volume.

Our initial target is approximately 5 qualified, attended meetings per month.

What Counts as Qualified?

The prospect will:

  • Fit our agreed target customer profile
  • Be a relevant senior People, HR, Talent, L&D, or OD decision-maker/influencer
  • Have a current or upcoming challenge, priority, or requirement relating to leadership, management, culture, team effectiveness, or coaching
  • Understand why they're meeting Upwrd
  • Be genuinely open to exploring whether we could help
  • Attend the meeting

We're not interested in filling the diary with people who've simply agreed to "hear a bit more."

Who We're Looking For

You'll have strong experience in B2B appointment setting, telemarketing, business development, or sales.

Experience selling professional services, consulting, HR/L&D, or other relationship-led B2B solutions would be particularly valuable.

You don't necessarily need to be UK-based, but you must have excellent spoken English, understand the UK B2B market, and be completely comfortable speaking with senior UK decision-makers.

Commercial Arrangement

  • £400 per qualified and attended meeting.
  • Initial target: 5 meetings per month (£2,000).
  • No retainer. No hourly rate. Performance-based.

We'll agree on the ICP and qualification criteria upfront, and prospecting activity and intelligence will be recorded in our CRM.

If you're excellent at opening doors and creating genuine B2B sales conversations, we'd love to hear from you.

Please apply with a brief overview of your B2B prospecting experience, who you've sold to, and the results you've generated.
