Trade Growth Limited | Remote / Essex | Self-Employed
Trade Growth is a growing digital agency helping trades businesses across the UK build a stronger online presence, generate more enquiries and grow their business. We specialise in websites and ongoing digital management for electricians, plumbers, builders, roofers, landscapers and other trade businesses.
We're looking for a confident, motivated Freelance Sales Executive to help us bring new businesses on board.
The Role
Your focus will be simple: find businesses that could benefit from Trade Growth, start conversations and turn them into paying customers.
You'll be responsible for:
- Identifying and approaching potential trades businesses
- Starting conversations with business owners through email, LinkedIn, social media and phone where appropriate
- Understanding what the business currently has in place and where Trade Growth could help
- Explaining our website and ongoing digital management services
- Following up with prospects
- Helping move interested businesses towards becoming paying Trade Growth clients
- Keeping track of prospects and conversations
You won't need to build websites or manage clients after the sale. Once a customer joins, our team takes over the delivery and ongoing management.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in people who:
- Are confident speaking with business owners
- Have experience in sales, business development, recruitment, telesales or account management
- Are comfortable generating their own leads and opportunities
- Can work independently without being micromanaged
- Are persistent without being pushy
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Are motivated by performance and earning potential
Experience selling digital marketing or websites would be useful, but it's not essential. Experience or connections within the trades or construction industry would be a big advantage.
Earnings
This is a self-employed, commission-based role with uncapped earning potential.
You'll receive commission for every new paying Trade Growth customer you bring into the business.
Indicative commission:
- Essential client signed: £150
- Growth Partner client signed: £200
Commission is paid once the customer's initial payment has been successfully received.
There is no cap on commission, so the more customers you bring in, the more you earn.
For example:
- 5 Growth Partner clients = £1,000 commission
- 10 Growth Partner clients = £2,000 commission
