Freelance Senior Video Editor | £350-£450 p/d | Starting early October
I'm hiring on behalf of a digital creative agency with offices in London and Finland, working with large tech brands. They need a senior freelance video editor to start in the next two to three weeks.
The work:
- Documentary-style films and customer stories. Real footage, real people.
- The job is finding the story in a 90-minute interview, getting the pacing right, and knowing what to cut.
- You'll be handed storyboards and scripts and expected to work out how the story is best told on screen, not just execute it shot for shot.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The contract:
- A month to begin with, but there's more work behind it and it's likely to roll into November and beyond.
- They want someone they can keep. Full time ideally, though four days a week works for the right person.
The rate:
- £350 a day as a starting point, with room into the £400s for someone genuinely strong.
What they need to see:
- A real body of work editing live footage: interviews, customer stories, brand documentaries. Not templated or stock-led
- Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve
- Comfort recutting the same story into multiple lengths and formats for social
- A good ear for dialogue, music and mix

Big pluses:
- AWS project experience
- A tech background or tech clients. A lot of this work is making complex information make visual sense
- Motion graphics for social: 2D in After Effects, and 3D in Cinema 4D or Blender
This is a senior brief. To be put forward you'll need a CV, portfolio, showreel, and one full piece of live footage start to finish.
