Freelance Façade Site Manager – Liverpool
12-Month Contract | Freelance / Subcontract | Potential to Extend
CEJ Group is looking for an experienced Freelance Façade Site Manager to join us on a significant façade programme in Liverpool.
This is an initial 12-month freelance appointment with the potential to extend, offering the right individual the opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a long-term project.
We are looking for a confident, hands-on Site Manager with proven experience delivering façade, external envelope and/or cladding packages who can take ownership of day-to-day site operations while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and programme performance.
The Role
Working closely with CEJ Group’s project and commercial teams, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of the façade works, from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day delivery of façade works on site
- Site set-up, mobilisation and ongoing site management
- Managing façade packages against programme and specification
- Coordinating specialist subcontractors, operatives and suppliers
- Monitoring programme, sequencing and progress
- Maintaining high standards of QA/QC and completing inspections
- Ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications and approved systems
- Managing health & safety requirements and site compliance
- Coordinating site logistics, deliveries, access and working areas
- Identifying and resolving site issues before they impact programme
- Managing snagging, remedial works and close-out
- Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to the wider project team
- Supporting successful completion, handover and client satisfaction

CORE EXPERTISE
Site Set-Up & Mobilisation
Planning and establishing safe, efficient site operations from commencement.
Façade Package Management
Strong understanding of façade, cladding and external envelope packages with the ability to manage works from installation through to completion.
QA/QC & Inspections
Managing inspection processes, quality documentation, photographic records and ensuring installation meets specification and required standards.
Subcontractor Coordination
Managing specialist subcontractors and trades to maintain productivity, quality and programme.
Health & Safety
Maintaining excellent site standards, implementing RAMS and ensuring all works are carried out safely and compliantly.
Programme & Sequencing
Planning and coordinating works to maintain progress, identify potential delays and keep the project on programme.
Snagging & Close-Out
Proactively managing defects, snagging and remedial works to achieve an efficient and high-quality handover.

Site Logistics & Access
Coordinating deliveries, access equipment, working areas, material movements and site logistics to support efficient delivery.
The Person
We are particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate:
- Proven Site Management experience within façades, cladding or external envelope works
- Strong technical understanding of façade installation and quality requirements
- Excellent subcontractor and trade management
- Strong organisational and problem-solving ability
- A proactive, delivery-focused approach
- Excellent communication with clients, subcontractors and project teams
- Ability to maintain detailed QA and site records
- SMSTS
- Appropriate CSCS qualification
- First Aid at Work
Experience working on façade remediation, fire-safety-related works and occupied residential buildings would be particularly advantageous.

- Contract: Freelance / Subcontract
- Duration: Initial 12 months
- Extension: Potential for further work beyond the initial term
- Start: 7th September 2026
- Day Rate: TBC - Bonus incentives for cost and program KPIs
