Freelance Site Manager Required In Colchester
GVR Solutions are currently representing a well-established main contractor to join them on a project at the Barracks, and upon the MoD project being completed, move onto projects within a sensible commute of Colchester.
Given the nature of the project, a BPSS clearance is mandatory which required 3 years employment accounted for. The assignment is ongoing and could very likely lead to a permanent position.
The Site Manager Must Have/be
- Experience working on MoD projects is advantageous
- Strong background working for a main contractor
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Site Management
- Ability to oversee day-to-day operations and subcontractors
- Strong health & safety awareness
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid
- BPSS Clearance

Key Responsibilities Of The Site Manager
- Monitor and manage all works to ensure quality of workmanship is of the highest standard
- Work alongside the commercial team to ensure the project is delivered successfully
- Management, control and mitigation of all risks relating to site activities
- Maintain accurate and timely project documentation
- Manage subcontractors and coordinate site activities
- Maintain strong relationships with the client and consultant team
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are upheld at all times
- Deliver the project to programme and quality expectations
