Role Description
The Freelance Site Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Manchester. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, coordinating project timelines, and ensuring that design and build activities are completed safely, on schedule, and to specification. The Site Project Manager will liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, manage site logistics, track material deliveries, and handle expediting tasks to resolve delays.

- Supervising inspections
- Maintaining quality and compliance standards
- Preparing site reports
- Proactively addressing issues that could affect project performance
The role requires hands-on presence on site, clear communication, and strong organizational skills to keep multiple workstreams aligned.
Qualifications
- Hold an SMSTS card.
- Strong project management skills, including experience in planning, scheduling, and coordinating site-based projects.
- Expediting and expeditor skills, with the ability to track, prioritize, and accelerate materials and services to meet project deadlines.
- Inspection skills, with experience in quality checks, compliance monitoring, and documenting site findings.
- Logistics management skills, including organizing deliveries, managing site resources, and optimizing workflows.
- Relevant experience in construction, events, experiential marketing, or design-and-build environments is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities, with comfort in coordinating multiple external partners.
- Ability to work on site full time in Manchester, manage competing priorities, and uphold health and safety standards.
- Professional certifications in project management or site management are an advantage but not mandatory.
