About Beds & Bars
Beds & Bars has operated bars and hostels across Europe since 1964. Two of our brands sit at the centre of this role, and they require distinctly different voices.
St Christopher's is Europe's original branded hostel network, operating 20 hostels across the UK and Europe including London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Vienna, Bruges, Edinburgh, and Newquay. The formula has not changed since the first site opened in 1996: a bed above a bar, centrally located, with events in every hostel.
Belushi's is the bar side of the business, in London and across Europe. Live sport, music, and late licenses, with travelers and locals drinking side by side. The tone is bold and direct.
Purpose of the role
We are seeking an experienced freelance marketer to deliver the weekly social media and email output for both brands.
We maintain libraries of photography and video and add to them regularly, though the ideal asset is not always available. The role is to select and format suitable assets, build the post or email, write the copy to brand tone of voice, and submit the work for approval against the agreed content calendar.
Briefs set the objective and the direction. Execution is where we expect your skill and technique to show. This is a brand marketing role, not a content production or influencer role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
