Contract - Self-employed, subcontracted

Commitment - Around half a day per week
Fee - £375 per month
Location - Remote, UK based

As specialists in tendering and fundraising for the charity sector, GeckoFundraising has over 20 years experience in sourcing and writing successful funding applications on behalf of our clients. Our services cover grant, tender and bid writing, funding search and fundraising strategy.

We are looking for a reliable freelancer to take on the weekly checking and scheduling of our social media, the distribution of our email newsletter and the creation of our short-form video content. This is a subcontracted role, not employment.

This is a growing area of our business. The package below reflects what we need today, and we expect the volume and range of work to increase over time.

What the work involves

All of the following is completed in a single working session, once per week.

  • Social media Checking and scheduling the week's posts in GoHighLevel across Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Bluesky, drip fed across the week rather than published in a single batch.
  • Newsletter Checking our weekly newsletter and distributing it in GoHighLevel using batch scheduled email campaigns.
  • Video Creating short-form video content using Pictory for use across the social channels.

The content plan and brand direction sit with us. Reporting, paid advertising, community management and inbox monitoring are not part of this contract.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who we are looking for

Essential

  • Experience scheduling content in GoHighLevel, or in a comparable platform with the confidence to pick up GoHighLevel quickly, including social planner and email batch campaigns.
  • Experience creating short-form video, ideally in Pictory.
  • Excellent written English, with accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation, and the confidence to write in an organisation's own voice.
  • Working knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Bluesky, including how each platform differs.
  • Reliable and self-managing, with a consistent weekly turnaround.
  • UK based, self-employed and able to invoice.

Desirable

  • Experience working with charities, the voluntary sector or small businesses.
  • Basic graphic design skills, for example Canva.
  • Understanding of UK GDPR as it applies to email marketing.

The details

  • A fixed retainer of £375 per month for the weekly package described above, which currently amounts to around half a day per week.
  • Additional work outside that package is available by agreement at £175 per day.
  • Payment made monthly in arrears, on presentation of an invoice, and paid within 7 days.
  • The arrangement will be reviewed after three months, and the retainer adjusted if the volume of work has changed.
  • This is a subcontracted freelance engagement and not employment. You are responsible for your own income tax, National Insurance and any pension arrangements, and will be asked to confirm your IR35 status during onboarding.
  • GeckoFundraising Ltd is a small company for the purposes of the off-payroll working rules, so responsibility for determining IR35 status rests with you.
  • The role is subject to a check that you have the right to work in the UK.
  • A contract for the works will be provided and can be negotiated by mutual agreement.
  • 30 days' notice to end the agreement, either side.
  • Remote and flexible. You decide when and where the work is done, provided the weekly deadlines are met.
