About Papier
At Papier, we believe in the power of the blank page. Since the business was founded in London in 2015, we've been crafting beautifully designed stationery—from journals and planners to wedding invitations—that inspire creativity and meaningful connections. With over £60 million raised and a growing presence in the UK, US and beyond, we're on a mission to make everyday moments noteworthy.
Role Purpose
As our Freelance Social Media & Content Creator, you'll help bring Papier's brand to life across social channels, capturing and creating the photo and video content that shows off our stationery, gifting and personalised products at their best.
You'll play an important role in growing our social presence through shooting and editing short-form video & content for ads across Paid Social. This is a flexible, freelance role suited to someone creative, self-directed, and excited to build a portfolio around a design-led brand.
- Proof of content creation — a portfolio, reel, or account you've grown or shot yourself.
- A genuine eye for what makes content stop the scroll, with an instinct for Papier's aesthetic and tone.
- Practical, proactive and comfortable managing your own time and schedule.
- Own equipment (camera/phone, basic editing kit) and confident editing for social formats.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced creative environment.
- Passionate about design, branding, products and visual storytelling.
- Bonus points for experience with design, stationery, gifting or lifestyle brands.
- Great for someone early in their career — a recent grad, or looking for a flexible freelance top-up.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
