Role Description
The Freelance Social Media Strategist & Content Lead is a full-time remote role responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing social media strategies across multiple platforms. Day-to-day tasks include developing content calendars, crafting engaging posts and campaigns, analysing performance metrics, and refining strategies based on insights. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and clients to align social media activities with broader PR and brand goals, coordinating community management, and ensuring consistent brand voice and messaging. The strategist will also identify trends, propose new content formats, and support digital PR initiatives to grow reach and engagement.
What you'll be doing
- Audit our existing accounts, content, audience, and performance
- Review competitors and identify opportunities
- Refine our existing social strategy and content pillars
- Create rolling four-week content plans
- Explain the purpose, audience, value, and intended action behind every post
- Proactively devise ideas, hooks, formats, trends, and recurring content series
- Create and edit engaging reels and short-form video
- Write concise, audience-appropriate captions and calls to action
- Turn interviews and testimonials into multiple pieces of content with different angles
- Create reels from client stories, press coverage, results, and creator successes
- Develop creator spotlights, educational content, and social proof
- Identify opportunities for reactive or trend-led content
- Brief our team when original footage is needed
- Provide clear hooks, scripts, talking points, shot lists, and deadlines
- Direct our social executive and ensure all output follows the agreed strategy and brand style
- Review performance and recommend what we should do more, less, or differently

What you’ll have to work with
We can provide:
- Client interviews and testimonial recordings
- Press coverage links and screenshots
- Client stories, results, and campaign information
- Approved creator assets and social footage
- Existing brand assets
- Established content pillars and strategic direction
- An in-house PR and content team
- A socials executive who can support with graphics, scheduling, routine stories, and community-management tasks

About you
You’ll ideally be someone who:
- Has proven strategic and hands-on social media experience
- Can show examples of reels and content you personally created
- Understands how to build a content plan around commercial objectives
- Has experience with female-first, Gen Z, or creator-led audiences
- Can make business, PR, and educational content feel entertaining
- Is comfortable working professionally with adult-industry clients
- Can extract strong stories and hooks from interviews, testimonials, and results
- Is confident directing other creatives and briefing internal teams
- Is organized, communicative, and comfortable taking ownership
You don’t need to create or appear in explicit content. However, you must be completely comfortable working with clients and subject matter connected to the adult-content industry.
Working arrangement
This is an ongoing freelance position. We are open to proposals based on a clearly defined monthly package or retainer.
The final scope and content volume will be agreed based on your approach, experience, and proposed fee.
