Freelance E-commerce Operations Officer
Join a dynamic activewear start-up as a freelance E-commerce Operations Officer, supporting the launch and early-stage operations of a premium DTC brand. This part-time, remote role is ideal for professionals experienced in e-commerce operations, particularly within fashion, apparel, or beauty sectors. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless order processing, fulfillment, and customer experience as the brand transitions from pre-launch to commercial activity.
Deliverables
- Oversee Shopify operational readiness, including product, SKU, and inventory setup and accuracy.
- Monitor orders and payments, ensuring timely processing and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with 3PL partners and couriers for shipping across UAE, GCC, and international markets.
- Reconcile orders, inventory, and 3PL records to maintain operational accuracy.
- Develop and implement SOPs, trackers, returns workflows, and a weekly operational dashboard.
- Troubleshoot operational issues with external providers and technical support.
- Recommend and implement cost-effective process improvements.

Requirements
- Proven experience managing Shopify-based e-commerce operations.
- Strong understanding of 3PL fulfillment, inventory management, shipping, and returns processes.
- Experience with DTC brands, preferably in fashion, apparel, or beauty.
- Familiarity with UAE/GCC and cross-border shipping logistics.
- Ability to create clear SOPs and operational trackers.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Remote availability for approximately 5–8 hours per week.
- Immediate start preferred; potential for longer-term engagement.
