Freelance Statistician | Indirect Treatment Comparisons | Network Meta Analysis | HTA | UK Based | Outside IR35 | £35-£45 Per/Hour | 40 hours per week | 6 month contract | ASAP Start

We are partnering with a leading global life sciences consultancy that supports pharmaceutical and biotech organisations with market access, health economics, and evidence generation strategies across the product life cycle. They are seeking a statistician to help support the team with mainly NMAs and ITCs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic statistical and health economics expertise to integrate Access/HTA evidence requirements into global clinical development and commercialization strategies through ITCs and NMAs.
  • Design and deliver robust evidence-generation plans, including advanced analyses of clinical and real-world data (e.g., survival and utility analyses) to support HTA and reimbursement submissions.
  • Collaborate across Global Access, Product Development, Commercial, and affiliate teams to align evidence strategies and communicate analytical insights for market access decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives, drive methodological innovation, and monitor evolving Access/HTA trends to ensure evidence-generation approaches remain current and impactful.

Ideal Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working in the pharmaceutical industry, a consultancy, Access/HTA/reimbursement agency, or academic institution (pharma affiliate experience is a plus).
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Access and HTA, clinical research and development methods, and international payer evidence requirements.
  • Skilled in research design and statistical methods, such as Generalized Linear Models, Survival analysis, Network Meta-Analysis, and Bayesian statistics and are proficient in R and GitLab (experience with SAS, Python, WinBUGS, JAGS, or other relevant statistical software is a plus).
  • Strong strategic, collaboration, and communication skills, strong organization, planning, and prioritization skills with an ability to meet tight deadlines, and strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Contractual Details

  • 5 days per week (flexible)
  • ASAP Start
  • Remote working across the UK or US.
  • 6 months contract (high potential to extend)
  • Outside IR35 where applicable (for UK-based contractors)
  • £35 - £45 Per/Hour
