Remote | UK Based | Freelance / Associate

About the Role

TKS Training is looking for an experienced Thermal Insulation NVQ Assessor to support learners completing the ProQual Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Thermal Insulation (Construction).

This is a flexible freelance opportunity with work offered according to learner demand. Most assessment activity can be completed remotely.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will support learners throughout their workplace-based NVQ, from induction through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out learner inductions and assessment planning
  • Reviewing workplace evidence and electronic portfolios
  • Conducting professional discussions with learners
  • Assessing learners against the qualification requirements
  • Providing clear feedback and guidance
  • Maintaining accurate assessment records
  • Helping learners progress towards completion
  • Working with our internal quality assurance team

Most portfolio work will be completed remotely using QualsDirect, Zoom, telephone, and email. Occasional workplace visits may be required.

What We’re Looking For

You will need:

  • Practical experience within the thermal-insulation industry
  • A recognised assessor qualification, such as A1, CAVA, D32/D33 or equivalent
  • Current TICA approval, registration or recognition acceptable to ProQual
  • Experience assessing workplace-based NVQs
  • Good communication and IT skills
  • The ability to manage learners independently and maintain accurate records
  • The right to work in the UK

Working Arrangement

  • Freelance/self-employed associate basis
  • Flexible caseload based on learner demand
  • Predominantly remote working
  • Payment agreed on a fee-per-learner basis
  • Occasional UK travel where workplace assessment is required
