Freelance Graphic Designers - Junior and Mid-Weight
Location: Remote (UK-based) | Project-Based / Ongoing Freelance
At UK Construction Marketing, we don’t just tell our clients’ stories, we build them from the ground up. We’re on the lookout for a Junior Freelance Graphic Designer and a Mid-Weight Graphic Designer to join our close-knit team.
If you're someone who can easily switch from corporate layouts to high-impact, funky creative concepts, and you’ve got an incredible eye for detail, then this could be the perfect fit.
This role is ideal for designers who are creative, confident working independently, comfortable taking a brief that’s not overflowing with detail, and able to bring brands to life visually across platforms.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Brand & Marketing Collateral Design clear, compelling assets that support our clients’ goals, from brochures and capability statements to social graphics and pitch decks.
- Corporate Design Work Create clean, structured designs that sit comfortably within brand guidelines, ensuring everything is consistent, professional, and ready to impress even the most detail-oriented stakeholders.
- Creative Campaign Assets When the brief allows, push things further with conceptual designs for marketing campaigns, social media, landing pages, and more. We want someone who can bring fresh ideas to the table.
- Brochures & Long-Form Design Create multi-page documents that look great and flow nicely, using existing brand guidelines where applicable, and applying your own creative ideas to produce high-end creative. You’ll be working on long-form content that demands a strong eye for details, including spelling, grammar, spacing, and more.
- Template & Canva Material Work efficiently in Canva when required, creating templates and editable files for clients who need quick, flexible solutions.
- Visual Consistency Ensure every piece of work reflects the client’s brand - premium, cohesive, and to the point.
- Visual Identity & Brand Guidelines Develop and maintain strong visual identities for our clients, making sure that everything from typography to color palettes feels intentional and aligned with their brand story. You’ll help to refine and expand any current brand guidelines clients have, safeguard consistency across all touchpoints, and create visuals that enhance how our clients are perceived in the market.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
