Company Description

Aquifer Film Studio is a London-based video production company and studio hire facility serving brands, agencies, artists, and creative teams. The studio offers commercial video and photography production alongside flexible spaces equipped with white cyclorama, green screen, blackout, drive-in access, and multipurpose stage setups. Aquifer Film Studio supports a wide range of projects, including branded content, interviews, product shoots, set builds, and other creative work. Clients can choose between fully managed production services or professional studio hire with practical on-site production support, creating a dynamic environment for creative collaboration.

Role Description

The Freelance Video Editor role is a contract position based in London with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site collaboration at Aquifer Film Studio with some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include editing video content for commercial, branded, and creative projects, assembling footage, syncing audio, and crafting clear visual narratives aligned with client briefs. The role involves color grading, basic motion graphics and titles, and integrating graphics elements to enhance storytelling and brand identity. The Video Editor will collaborate closely with producers, directors, and studio staff to refine edits, implement feedback, and deliver final assets in required formats and specifications, while maintaining consistent quality and meeting agreed deadlines.

  • Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency, mood, and adherence to brand guidelines across different projects.
  • Candidates should possess abilities in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create titles, lower thirds, simple animations, and branded visual elements.
