About us
Echo & Ember Creative is a Lincoln-based creative agency making social media content for hospitality brands. We're a small, hands-on team, so you'll work directly with the founders and your work will genuinely shape what we put out. As our client list grows, we're looking for a talented freelance video editor to grow with us.
The role
You'll edit social content for our hospitality clients, from restaurants and bars to independent food brands. Most of the work is short-form vertical video (15 to 60 seconds) for Instagram and TikTok, alongside longer-form pieces of up to 3 minutes. We shoot the footage and send it over; you turn it into content that makes people hungry, thirsty and keen to book a table.
This is a freelance role of approximately 15 hours per month, with scope for more hours as we grow.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
