About Drone Motion

Drone Motion is a UK video production company working across commercial, corporate, events, TV/editorial, drone and FPV.

We shoot a real mix of content, from fast-paced events and action through to interviews, branded films and cinematic aerial work.

The Role

We’re looking for a freelance video editor to join our wider freelance team on an ad-hoc, project-by-project basis.

We’re looking for someone creative with a genuinely strong eye for pacing, storytelling, music, sound design and colour.

We don’t want everything to feel like a traditional corporate edit, but equally, we’re not looking for endless speed ramps, transitions and whooshes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You should be able to take a project and understand what it needs. Sometimes that’s fast, energetic and social-first. Sometimes it’s clean, cinematic and premium.

Work will include corporate and branded films, events, interviews, showreels, drone and FPV footage, and shorter social cuts in both landscape and vertical formats.

What we’re looking for

  • A strong portfolio/showreel
  • Excellent editing and storytelling
  • Strong colour grading skills
  • Good sound design and music choices
  • Confident working with both drone and ground-camera footage
  • Comfortable creating punchy social edits as well as longer-form films
  • Professional, reliable and able to work to deadlines
  • DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut preferred
  • UK-based preferred, remote working is absolutely fine
