Join a dynamic creative team as a freelance video editor specializing in short-form content for platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram Reels. This role focuses on transforming provided themes and copy direction into visually compelling videos using royalty-free stock footage, public-domain clips, motion graphics, text overlays, captions, and music. The position is ideal for editors who thrive in a fast-paced environment and can deliver high-quality content on tight deadlines. This is an on-site role based in Birmingham, with consideration for applicants willing to travel. The opportunity may lead to ongoing freelance collaboration.
Deliverables
- Edit and assemble short-form videos (typically 15–60 seconds) for social media distribution.
- Incorporate motion graphics, animated text, and captions to enhance viewer engagement.
- Source and integrate royalty-free or public-domain footage as required.
- Sync music and sound effects to match the tone and message of each video.
- Ensure all content aligns with provided themes, messaging, and brand guidelines.
- Deliver final videos in platform-optimized formats and aspect ratios.
- Respond to feedback and make timely revisions as needed.

Requirements
- Proven experience editing short-form video content for social media, especially LinkedIn and Instagram Reels.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar video editing and motion graphics software.
- Strong skills in motion graphics, text animation, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with social media trends, best practices, and platform specifications.
- Willingness to work on-site in Birmingham or travel as required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interpret creative briefs.
