Job Description
A fast-growing biotech startup is seeking a freelance web developer with strong graphic design skills to relaunch its English-language website. The project requires a modern, mobile-first approach that clearly communicates the company’s mission, services, and value proposition to a global audience in the clinical and pharmaceutical sectors. The ideal candidate will be able to translate provided copy and brand assets into a visually compelling and user-friendly site, ensuring a seamless experience across devices. The project is time-sensitive, with a preference for candidates who can deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
Deliverables
- Develop mobile-first website mock-ups for review and approval prior to build
- Build and launch the new website, prioritizing speed, clarity, and ease of navigation
- Integrate and configure contact forms with appropriate routing
- Ensure the website is easily editable by the internal team post-launch
- Optimize site for SEO best practices and fast load times
- Provide a handover guide or training for ongoing content management
- Deliver a one-page mobile mock-up, project estimate, and timeline if shortlisted

Requirements
- Proven experience designing and developing modern, responsive websites (portfolio required)
- Proficiency with WordPress; open to recommending alternative platforms if demonstrably superior
- Strong graphic design skills and ability to work with provided brand assets
- Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and mobile-first design
- Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and website performance optimization
- Ability to work independently and deliver within a rapid turnaround (typically one week per stage)
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with clients in the biotech, healthcare, or technology sectors is a plus
