The Purser Desk is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Superyacht Purser to join us on a freelance basis.
The position will initially be part-time, providing remote Purser support for one of our clients, with the requirement expected to grow and the potential to develop into a full-time role.
The work will cover a broad range of Purser responsibilities and shoreside operational support. We’re looking for someone who already understands the demands of the role and can confidently pick up requests, manage priorities and see things through from start to finish.
No two days, or requests, are likely to look quite the same, so you’ll need to be comfortable working independently, finding answers when they aren’t immediately obvious and keeping track of multiple moving parts.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience working as a Superyacht Purser
- Strong knowledge across the core Purser functions
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Confident managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfortable communicating directly and professionally with Owners’ Representatives and other senior stakeholders
- Comfortable working independently and remotely
- Professional, discreet and dependable
- Resourceful and confident taking ownership of requests from start to finish
- Comfortable using the systems and software commonly used within yacht operations

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
