Turn YouTube into a major profitable growth channel for Loop

At Loop, YouTube isn't a maintenance channel. It's a major growth opportunity waiting to be unlocked. With uncapped budgets when performance is there, there's freedom to test, learn, and scale the channel as far as efficiency allows.

As our Freelance YouTube Growth Strategist, you'll own paid YouTube end to end, proving its incremental impact and turning it into a meaningful demand generation engine for the business.

The Role

This role combines big-picture strategy with hands-on execution. From defining the right markets, audiences, and campaign types to monitoring daily performance, the full YouTube channel will be yours to shape and scale.

Close collaboration with Paid Search, Creative Strategy & Studio, Analytics, our Performance Lab, agencies, and platform partners will be key to unlocking the next stage of profitable growth.

What You'll Do

  • Own and scale Loop's paid YouTube channel across international markets, managing a seven-figure annual media budget.
  • Lead activity across Demand Gen, VVC, and YouTube-specific campaign formats while staying hands-on in the account.
  • Build a clear experimentation roadmap across audiences, creative, bidding, campaign types, and markets.
  • Partner with Performance Lab and Analytics on incrementality, geo lift, Brand Lift, Consideration Lift, and Conversion Lift studies.
  • Work closely with Paid Search to understand cross-channel interaction across the wider Google ecosystem.
  • Turn performance insights into stronger creative briefs and testing plans together with Creative Strategy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You Won't

  • Ignore the impact of creatives (diversity or strategy) on the channel success
  • Focus solely on paid media spend. You’ll stay accountable for the full channel budget, including creative costs.
  • Treat YouTube as a maintenance channel or simply continue with the existing setup.
  • Scale spend without protecting profitability and efficiency.
  • Stay at a strategic distance from the account or leave all execution to an agency.
  • Rely solely on platform-reported results without testing incremental business impact.
  • Operate in isolation from Paid Search, Creative Strategy, Analytics, or the wider Performance team.

How You'll Succeed

You can point to a YouTube advertising channel and explain exactly how you helped take it from small to seriously big, including the experiments, decisions, and creative shifts that made the difference.

Strategic thinking comes naturally, but staying close to execution matters just as much. Success means scaling spend within agreed efficiency parameters, building stronger evidence of YouTube's incremental impact, and creating a repeatable experimentation engine.

By the end of the contract, YouTube is materially larger within Loop's marketing mix and the roadmap for its next stage of profitable growth is crystal clear.

  • Deep hands-on expertise in paid YouTube and a proven track record of scaling the channel profitably.
  • Experience managing and scaling seven-figure annual media budgets.
  • Strong knowledge of Demand Gen, VVC, and YouTube-specific campaign formats.
  • Strong project management skills to keep experiments on track and the creative pipeline moving smoothly.
  • Experience with incrementality, geo lift, and brand or conversion lift measurement.
  • Strong creative judgement and the ability to turn performance data into clear creative direction.
  • Excellent analytical instincts and strong cross-functional skills across Paid Search, Creative Strategy, Analytics, and agencies.
  • Experience scaling international ecommerce or consumer brands is a strong plus.

Loop isn't for everyone. We might not be a match if you:

  • Prefer maintaining an established channel over building and scaling one.
  • Want to stay purely strategic and leave account execution entirely to others.
  • See increasing spend as the main measure of growth, without proving profitability or incrementality.
  • Prefer following established playbooks over experimenting, challenging assumptions, and finding a better path.

Still interested?

Great. If you've scaled YouTube from small to seriously big before and you're excited to find out how far we can take it profitably at Loop, we'd love to hear from you.
