TransitUK is an expanding European express freight forwarder specialising in time-critical road transport across the UK and Europe.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for an ambitious Freight Account Manager to join our team in Maldon.

This role would suit somebody with experience in freight forwarding, transport, logistics or customer service who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of customer accounts
  • Preparing quotations for UK and European transport
  • Booking vehicles and coordinating collections and deliveries
  • Tracking shipments and providing customer updates
  • Solving transport issues and delivery exceptions
  • Building relationships with existing customers
  • Identifying opportunities to increase revenue within accounts
  • Working closely with operations and transport suppliers

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in freight forwarding, transport or logistics
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple jobs simultaneously
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using transport management systems is beneficial
