Role Description
The Freight Forwarder role at Freightair Ltd is a full-time, on-site position based in Newcastle upon Tyne. The Freight Forwarder will coordinate and manage export and forwarding operations, including booking shipments, preparing documentation, and arranging freight transportation by air, sea, and road. Daily responsibilities include liaising with customers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely collection, dispatch, and delivery of goods, while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and customs requirements. The role involves tracking shipments, resolving operational issues, providing proactive updates to customers, and supporting continuous improvement of processes and service levels. The Freight Forwarder will also contribute to accurate data entry, rate management, and maintaining strong customer service standards.

- Strong skills in Freight Forwarding and Forwarding, with experience coordinating international shipments.
- Knowledge of Export procedures and documentation, including customs and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in Freight Transportation, including working with air, sea, and road carriers.
- Customer Service skills, with the ability to manage client queries, provide status updates, and resolve issues professionally.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and record keeping.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple shipments and deadlines.
- Proficiency with common office software and logistics or freight management systems.
- Relevant experience in freight forwarding or logistics; industry-related qualifications or training are an advantage.
