Freight Forwarder - European Road Freight
£32,000 to £37,000 DOE, Full-time, permanent, office-based
Same-day quotes. Dedicated loads. Tight timings. If that is the work you enjoy, read on.
We are C4 Logistics. We move urgent and high-value freight across the UK and mainland Europe by road and air, with offices in the UK, France, and Ireland. We are adding an experienced Freight Forwarder to our expedited operations desk in Coventry.
This is a live forwarding role. You will quote, buy, and run your own shipments from enquiry to delivery. It is not a warehousing or transport admin position.
What you'll do
- Take customer enquiries by phone and email for dedicated, part load, full load, and expedited shipments across Europe and the UK.
- Source capacity and negotiate rates with our European subcontractor network.
- Quote, book, and manage each shipment end to end: documentation, customs coordination, and customer updates.
- Solve problems as they happen, often against the clock.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
