Overview

As a Freight Forwarder - Air Export, you will ensure that the service delivered meets and exceeds customer expectations by adhering to established service levels, procedures, and SLAs while operating within agreed revenue and cost parameters. You will maintain accurate and complete operational and administrative processes and contribute to the achievement of departmental, branch, and company objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of Customer Requirements and ensuring the delivery of first-class customer service
  • Planning, arranging, monitoring, and controlling export shipments and the completion of all associated documentation (operational and administrative)
  • Immediate non-conformity handling assuring product safety and customer satisfaction
  • Receiving bookings from Clients/Agents
  • Making bookings with Carriers
  • Operation of the company’s IT systems (incl. CargoWise)
  • Timely and accurate generation of Sales Invoicing and the processing of costs (accruals & purchase invoices)
  • Customs Clearance
  • Preparation of Quotations
  • Timely and effective response to general inquiries and queries
  • Compliance with all Legal, Regulatory, and Company standards
  • Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable)

Qualifications

  • Completed training in Freight forwarding, logistics, or SCM
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in Air Export forwarding, ideally in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Good Distribution Practice (GDP) training/experience
  • Dangerous Goods training/experience
  • Fluent oral and written English is a must
  • Experience in using CargoWise is an advantage
