Job Title: Freight Forwarder : European Road Freight
Location: Coventry (CV4)
Salary: GBP32,000 : GBP37,000 per year (negotiable on experience)
Job Type: Full time, Permanent: In:office.
About The Role
C4 Logistics moves time:critical and high:value freight across the UK and mainland Europe by road and air, for customers who cant afford a shipment to fail.
Were hiring an experienced Freight Forwarder to join our expedited operations desk.
This is a live, fast:moving forwarding role, not a warehousing or transport admin position. Youll be quoting, buying, and running your own shipments end:to:end, working directly with clients and our carrier partner network across Europe. If you thrive on same:day quotes, dedicated loads, tight timings, and problem:solving in real time, youll fit here.
What Youll Do
- Handle inbound customer enquiries by phone and email for dedicated, part load, full load, and expedited shipments across the UK and Europe
- Source capacity and negotiate rates with our European carrier partner network
- Quote, book, and manage shipments end:to:end, including documentation, customs coordination, and status updates
- Resolve in:transit issues and exceptions as they happen, keeping clients informed
- Manage PODs and post:shipment paperwork, and work alongside our in:house customs team on clearance requirements
- Keep the TMS accurate and up to date throughout the shipment lifecycle

What Were Looking For
- 1+ years in a European road freight forwarding role. You will have quoted, booked, and managed European road shipments before.
- Working knowledge of UK and EU customs processes, Incoterms, and standard forwarding documentation
- Confidence negotiating rates with carriers and communicating clearly with clients under pressure
- Comfortable working at pace on multiple live shipments

Because expedited freight doesnt run 9:5, this role operates a two:week rotating pattern:
- Week 1: Mon:Fri, 07:00:16:00
- Week 2: Mon:Fri, 10:00:19:00
No weekends, no on:call.
