About the Role

Are you an experienced Freight Forwarder looking for an engaging, high-impact contract role? We’re seeking an operational pro to join Neon on a maternity cover basis, reporting directly to our Managing Director. You’ll take full ownership of end-to-end multimodal shipments, drive seamless customs compliance, and partner with our commercial team to support client growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Multimodal Freight: Coordinate Air, Sea, and Road shipments across global imports and exports.
  • Customs & Compliance: Handle customs clearances, documentation, and regulatory checks
  • Carrier & Rate Management: Liaise with carriers, 3PLs, and authorities while negotiating sharp operational rates.
  • Systems & Data: Manage tracking, invoicing, and shipment logs within our Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Commercial Support: Conduct targeted lead generation to open up new B2B opportunities alongside sales.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a freight forwarding or multimodal logistics role.
  • Hands-on knowledge of international customs procedures, shipping regulations, and TMS platforms.
  • Strong carrier negotiation skills and B2B commercial acumen.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
