About the Role
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Freight Forwarding Operations Specialist to join our team. This is a fully remote, self-employed contract position ideal for Europe-based Chinese speakers (with a preference for those in the UK) who are fluent in both English and Japanese. You will play a crucial role in coordinating international shipments, managing cost structures, and ensuring smooth daily logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Quotation & Pricing: Accurately calculate freight costs, negotiate rates with carriers, and provide timely, competitive quotes to clients and overseas partners.
- Operations Management: Handle end-to-end freight forwarding operations, including booking, document preparation, and shipment tracking.
- Multilingual Communication: Communicate daily with international clients, carriers, and overseas agents smoothly in English and Japanese.
- Issue Resolution: Monitor cargo status, provide timely updates to clients, and proactively resolve any transportation or customs issues.
- Administration: Maintain accurate operational records, update systems, and ensure compliance with trade regulations.

Requirements
- Languages: Native-level Chinese (Mandarin), with fluent English and Japanese (both spoken and written) is strictly required.
- Experience: Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, pricing/quotation, or international trade is highly preferred (a strong plus!).
- Equipment: Must provide your own reliable workspace, computer/laptop, and a stable internet connection.
- Attributes: Highly self-disciplined, excellent time management, sensitive to numbers and costs, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Working Hours & Conditions
- Schedule: 8 hours per day, shift-based system with 2 days off per week.
- Initial Training Phase: 13:00 - 22:00 (Beijing Time) / Approx. 05:00 - 14:00 (UK Time).
- Regular Operations Phase: An 8-hour shift scheduled within the window of 15:00 - 06:00 (+1) (Beijing Time) / Approx. 07:00 - 22:00 (UK Time).

- 日常操作: 负责国际货运代理的全流程操作，包括订舱、排期、单证处理及物流追踪。
- 跨国沟通: 使用流利的英语和日语，与海外客户、承运人及供应商进行高效的日常对接。
- 异常处理: 实时跟进货物状态，及时处理突发异常情况，确保货物顺利交付。
- 数据管理: 妥善录入和管理业务数据，核对账单及相关物流文件。
任职要求
- 语言能力（硬性要求）: 中文母语，且必须具备流利的英语和日语听说读写能力。
- 行业经验（加分项）: 具备国际物流、货代操作、报价或国际贸易相关经验者优先考虑。
- 硬件要求: 需要自备办公设备（电脑及外设）和稳定的网络环境。
- 综合素质: 对数字敏感，具备良好的自我驱动力和时间管理能力，能适应居家办公节奏。
工作时间与排班（每天工作8小时，每周双休）
- 初期培训阶段: 北京时间 13:00 - 22:00（约合英国时间 05:00 - 14:00 或 06:00 - 15:00，视夏令时而定）。
- 正式上岗阶段: 排班制，每天8小时。班次将安排在北京时间 15:00 - 次日06:00 之间（约合英国常规日间至晚间时段）。
