Join a Growing Independent Freight Forwarder
Dolphin Freight Services is a well-established freight forwarding and logistics company based in Sheffield. We provide reliable and tailored freight solutions across road, sea and air freight, customs clearance, warehousing, courier services and specialist logistics.
As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Freight Forwarding Sales Executive to help develop new business opportunities and build long-term relationships with customers across the UK.
This role offers a blend of office-based and field-based sales activity, allowing you to build customer relationships both from our Sheffield office and through regular customer visits. You'll have the opportunity to represent the company, develop customer accounts and play a key role in our future growth.
Whether you already have experience within freight forwarding sales or have a strong background in business development and B2B sales, we would be pleased to hear from you.

The Role
Working closely with our management and operations teams, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while helping to strengthen relationships with existing customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Generating new business opportunities across our freight and logistics services.
- Building relationships with importers, exporters, manufacturers and commercial businesses.
- Prospecting via telephone, email, LinkedIn and networking.
- Attending customer meetings and site visits.
- Preparing and following up quotations.
- Developing and growing customer accounts.
- Representing Dolphin Freight Services professionally within the marketplace.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Positive and proactive attitude.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Confidence communicating with businesses at all levels.
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve results.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Previous freight forwarding or logistics experience.
- Knowledge of sea freight, air freight, road freight and customs processes.
- Previous B2B sales experience.
- Experience managing customer accounts and generating new business.
