We are working with a well-established and growing business to recruit a Freight & Logistics Coordinator Key Account Coordinator to join their busy commercial team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, building strong relationships and keeping things moving. The business is open to considering candidates with previous sea freight forwarding/import-export experience, but equally, they are happy to train and develop the right person who has the right attitude, customer service skills and commercial mindset.

Working closely with customers, suppliers, agents and internal teams, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive an excellent level of service from enquiry through to delivery. You will need to be organised, proactive and confident communicating with a range of people, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.

The Role

  • Managing customer queries via telephone and email
  • Monitoring and managing a shared inbox
  • Processing customer bookings and accurately inputting information into internal systems
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and overseas agents
  • Preparing, checking and sending customer documentation
  • Producing bills of lading and providing bill of lading instructions
  • Understanding customer requirements and ensuring these are delivered effectively
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience and overall service
  • Managing your own workload, prioritising tasks and working to deadlines

About You

We are looking for someone who is proactive, commercially aware and genuinely passionate about providing excellent customer service. You may already have experience within freight forwarding, import/export, logistics or a similar commercial environment, or you may be working in a customer-focused role and looking for an opportunity to develop your career within the industry.
