French Legal Professional – Transition into French Legal Recruitment
Summit Rec2Rec is partnering with a select group of high-quality professional services recruitment and executive search firms who are actively looking to hire French-speaking professionals to build and grow their French legal market desks.
This opportunity is specifically designed for individuals who are fluent in French and currently working in any legal capacity (e.g. paralegal, legal assistant, legal operations, law firm support, in-house legal, compliance, or similar) who are considering a career change into legal recruitment.
If you enjoy working with people, have strong communication skills, and are motivated by performance, progression, and financial reward, this could be an excellent next step in your career.
About the Opportunity
Our clients operate at the top end of the professional services market, partnering with leading law firms and consultancies on high-impact recruitment mandates, including:
- Associate and senior associate hiring
- Partner and team moves
- Office launches and international expansion
- Cross-border mandates across France, the UK, Europe, and the US
You will join a structured consultant programme, where you will be trained from the ground up in professional services recruitment while gradually taking ownership of the French legal market.

About the Role
This is a commercial, relationship-driven role within a market-leading French Private Practice recruitment team. The team works with top-tier French, US, and UK law firms and operates at the very highest level of the market.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with law firms and legal professionals
- Map and research the French legal market
- Source, engage, and qualify high-calibre legal candidates
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes (full 360 role)
- Guide candidates through interviews and offers
- Work towards targets and performance metrics linked to commission

Essential Requirements
- Fluent in French (spoken and written)
- Experience working in a legal environment (any capacity)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Resilience, tenacity, and willingness to learn
- Genuine interest in a fast-paced, performance-driven career
