Job Title: French Speaking Accounts Payable Administrator

Location: Fareham, Hampshire (Hybrid – Monday to Wednesday in the office, Thursday and Friday working from home)

Job type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £28,000 – £31,000 per annum

The Role

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you'll play a key role in supporting the Finance Shared Service Centre, ensuring supplier invoices, employee expenses, and payments are processed accurately and on time across multiple EMEA countries.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing high volumes of supplier invoices in line with company policies and KPIs
  • Processing employee expenses and ensuring compliance with company travel and expense policies
  • Preparing and supporting weekly payment runs, including BACS, SEPA, and foreign payments
  • Maintaining and updating supplier (vendor) master data
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice and payment queries
  • Communicating with French-speaking suppliers and internal stakeholders across the business
  • Supporting month-end activities and payment reconciliations
  • Assisting with internal and external audits
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the Accounts Payable function

We're Looking For

  • Fluent French and English (spoken and written)
  • Previous experience in Accounts Payable, finance administration, or a busy office administration environment
  • Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and spreadsheets (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP are advantageous)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach and willingness to learn
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multicultural team
  • Basic accounting knowledge or experience is beneficial
  • Oracle, Concur, or ERP system experience is advantageous but not essential
  • AAT studies or finance qualifications are desirable but not required
