An international B2B organisation is seeking an experienced French-speaking Business Development Manager to drive new business, build strategic partnerships and develop long-term client relationships across France, Benelux and Italy, with France as the primary market.

Main duties:

  • Develop new B2B business across the assigned territories, manage the full sales cycle, build strategic client and partner relationships, negotiate commercial agreements and achieve agreed revenue targets.

The role:

  • Take ownership of B2B business development across France, Benelux and Italy, with France as the primary market.
  • Identify, prospect and secure new customers and commercial opportunities.
  • Develop sales strategies to achieve new business and revenue targets.
  • Generate qualified leads through prospecting, networking, referrals and market research.
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers, key clients and strategic partners.
  • Understand customer needs and present tailored commercial solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification through to negotiation and contract closure.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals and commercial offers.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and develop long-term client partnerships.
  • Identify account growth, cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and new business opportunities.
  • Develop strategic alliances and commercial partnerships.
  • Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, trade events and client meetings.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, finance and product teams.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Travel regularly across France, Benelux, Italy and other European locations.

The candidate:

  • Fluent French and English, written and spoken.
  • Additional Italian, Dutch or Flemish would be advantageous.
  • Proven B2B sales or business development experience within environmental hygiene, water treatment, air quality, infection prevention or related technical solutions - Advantageous
  • Proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales or revenue targets.
  • Experience managing the full B2B sales cycle.
  • Experience in strategic partnerships would be advantageous.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
  • Confident engaging with senior decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Able to work independently in a home-based role within an international team.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Willing and able to travel regularly across Europe.
  • Ability to travel freely within Europe and relevant international markets.
  • Full, valid driving licence required.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Management or a related field would be advantageous.
