Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site French Teacher role based in Newmarket, CB8. Monday and Wednesday, 11:45-15:30, starting on 2/11/2026. Teaching KS2.

The French Teacher will deliver engaging French lessons to primary-aged pupils, aligning teaching with school curriculum requirements and learning objectives. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, assessing pupil progress, providing feedback, and adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. The role involves collaborating with other staff members, contributing to a positive classroom environment, and maintaining clear communication. The French Teacher will also follow safeguarding and behavior management policies.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in French Teaching and general Teaching within primary education settings.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Tutoring and Education to support differentiated learning and pupil progress.
  • Candidates do not need a teaching qualification, however experience teaching in the UK is essential.
  • Ability to create inclusive, engaging lessons and manage classroom behavior effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with school staff.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, child protection, and promoting the welfare of pupils.
  • Enhanced DBS required.
  • Right to Work in the UK is essential.
