Fresh Food Manager | Retail | South Tyrone | £36,000 - £42,000

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager to take ownership of a high-volume fresh food operation.

We are currently recruiting for a Retail Manager to oversee a range of fresh food departments, including Coffee, QSR and Deli. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for the day-to-day operation, people management, food safety, compliance, commercial performance, and customer experience across the departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full operational ownership of the department, managing teams of up to 35 plus.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, performance, absence, and team development.
  • Plan staffing and rotas effectively to meet customer demand and commercial targets.
  • Ensure excellent standards of food safety, hygiene, allergen management, and legal compliance.
  • Monitor all key performance indicators, taking action to improve performance.
  • Ensure product availability, freshness, presentation, and quality.
  • Manage day-to-day production and preparation to meet customer demand while minimizing waste.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues quickly to maintain smooth service.
  • Work closely with the Store Manager on new products/menus to drive sales and seasonal times.
  • Ensure new products and processes are implemented effectively across the operation.
  • Use customer and team feedback to improve products, processes, and overall department performance.

About You

We're looking for an experienced ideally in Fresh Goods, Grocery, Deli, or QSR at Management level with a strong background in leading teams within a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong people leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and allergen compliance.
  • A strong commercial understanding, including lead KPIs in this sector.
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to lead from the shop floor.
  • A genuine passion for food quality, customer service, and operational standards.
  • An advantage if you hold any food safety qualifications to support; however, this is not essential as training can be provided in securing the role.
