More About The Role

Our Fresh Food Managers take real pride in what goes on our shelves. With a genuine passion for produce and a keen eye for detail, you'll put our customers at the heart of everything you do, making sure our stores are stocked with proper good food every day.

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you’ll bring a proactive attitude to lead your team, keep availability high, and deliver outstanding service to our local community.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

  • Put customers first: Inspire your team to deliver friendly, attentive service, actively listening to customer feedback and keeping our fresh counters vibrant and fully stocked.
  • Lead and coach your team: Manage shift scheduling, training, and talent development, giving colleagues the confidence and capability to succeed in their roles.
  • Build a supportive culture: Partner with other Managers to lead an encouraging, performance-driven department where colleagues work with purpose.
  • Plan and deliver standards: Manage department routines thoroughly, ensuring market-leading product availability, safe and legal compliance, and smooth day-to-day operations.

You'll be the kind of person who:

  • Has experience leading, supporting, and bringing out the best in a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Is a natural communicator who enjoys sharing knowledge, helping others succeed, and keeping everyone in the loop.
  • Builds strong, positive working relationships across the whole store team, staying adaptable and open to new ways of doing things.
  • Listens attentively to both colleagues and customers, acting on feedback to make things better every shift.
  • Leads and steps up with confidence: Confidently steps in as Manager in Charge, running shifts smoothly, handling daily priorities with ease, and keeping our essential food safety standards spot-on.
