Fresh Food Manager

At Morrisons, we’re proud to be The Market Street Grocer. We don’t just move boxes; we are food makers and shopkeepers. As a Fresh Food Manager, you won’t be stuck behind a desk. You’ll be the driving force behind our fresh departments, orchestrating stunning product displays, managing short-life stock, and ensuring our customers experience a vibrant, bustling place to shop.

Reporting into the Store Manager, you'll be the operational driving force behind two core zones: produce (fruit & veg) and fresh chilled.

What you'll be doing day-to-day:

  • Leading with Passion: Inspiring, coaching, and developing a team of team leaders and fresh department colleagues.
  • Driving Fresh Excellence: Maximising sales through striking visual merchandising, seasonal trade planning, and peak stock availability.
  • Managing the Numbers: Taking full ownership of fresh sales targets, tight food waste management, shrinkage, and labour budgets.
  • Keeping it Safe: Upholding highest-degree food safety, temperature control, legal compliance, and trading standards.
  • Putting Customers First: Being a visible leader on the floor, ensuring an authentic, passionate "shopkeeper" environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
