Contract Type: Permanent
Hours of work: 38 hours per week
Location: Field Based – Yorkshire Area

About the Role

This is a field-based sales role covering the Yorkshire area, focused on driving sales growth and operational excellence across Fresh, Frozen and Food To Go categories. You’ll work closely with independent retailers and James Hall stores to improve performance through effective training, strong compliance, impactful merchandising and the rollout of branded concepts, all while building trusted, long-term relationships.

Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing

  • Driving sales growth, margin improvement and like-for-like performance
  • Training retailers and store teams on product knowledge, food safety and best practice
  • Supporting compliance with food safety legislation and company standards
  • Implementing planograms, range reviews, promotions and merchandising standards
  • Supporting the rollout and protection of branded Fresh, Frozen and Food To Go concepts
  • Using sales data and performance reports to identify opportunities and create action plans
  • Monitoring performance and providing accurate, timely reporting
  • Working closely with Retail Sales Advisors, Sales Managers and internal teams

A Few Things About You

We’re looking for a commercially driven, customer-focused sales professional who enjoys working in the field and building strong retailer relationships. Confident balancing sales growth with operational excellence and comfortable working independently across a defined territory.

  • Strong knowledge of Fresh, Frozen and Food To Go categories
  • Experience in field sales and/or convenience retail operations
  • Hands-on experience with merchandising standards, planograms and promotions
  • Good understanding of Food To Go operations, food safety and compliance
  • Confident analysing sales data and turning insight into action
  • Highly organised, adaptable and proactive in your approach
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Full UK driving licence essential
