Front of House Host - Fright Nights

Location: Thorpe Park, Chertsey, KT16 8PN
Hours: Full time, fully flexible.
Contract Type: Seasonal

Here at the UK's Most Thrilling Theme Park, we're gearing up to celebrate 25 Years of Fear, as Fright Nights returns! We are recruiting for Front of House Hosts to join our team in delivering our award-winning theme park scare event!

You will be a part of a team which plays a pivotal role in delivering a safe and fun experience for millions of guests at Thorpe Park, providing excellent customer service and delivering memorable experiences. Your focus will be to ensure a smooth and seamless entry and exit for every guest, ensuring the efficient operation of the car park, assisting them with their tickets and entry to the theme park and any Annual Pass enquiries, alongside maintaining our high standards of presentation for our guests.

What you'll be doing...

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and smooth journey for our guests, from their arrival to their exit.

  • Ensuring a smooth car park operation, with all cars being parked safely and efficiently.
  • Use our till system to sell day tickets, parking tickets, and upsell Annual Passes - helping to achieve sales targets.
  • Monitor site access through the Business Reception ensuring all staff, visitors, and contractors have approved ID or have followed the sign in procedure.
  • Take part in cleaning duties as directed to ensure presentation is kept to the required standard.
  • Interact with guests, using your in-depth park knowledge to provide a high level of customer service ensuring any issues they may have are resolved.
  • Any other administrative or operational duties as required by the Management Team.
  • Following all training and Health & Safety Policies at all times, to ensure safe working practices.

Qualifications & Experience

Due to the nature of the role and working hours, applicants must be 18 years old or over.

We are looking for team players - with a high level of motivation and ability to work both by themselves and as part of a team.

Successful applicants will be expected to uphold our high standards in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - using their problem solving and decision-making techniques to deliver memorable experiences for our guests.

We are looking for individuals with great interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and the ability to network with other employees at the park.
